カミさんが「オーブントースターが欲しい」というので、安物を買ってき たら、強弱の切り替えがなく、「すぐ焦げる」と不評でした。トライアック による電圧調整器を作るのは面倒くさかったので、ダイオード１本で半波整 流して「弱」にし、「強」ではスイッチでそのダイオードをショートするこ とにしました。ACアダプタのケースに入れてあり、コンセントに本機を挿し こみ、本機のスイッチの上についているコンセントからトースターへつなぐ ようにしてあります。今度は「弱が弱すぎる」と文句を言うので、「最初強 にして、しばらくしたら弱にすればいい」と言っておきました。
My wife wanted an oven toaster. So I bought her a cheap one. It does not have the "low" or "high" switch. She complained that the heat was too strong. So, I built this simple device that has a diode in it with a switch that bypasses the diode. The half wave rectifier (diode) makes the "low" setting. She says the "low" setting is too low but it seems to be marginally acceptable.
